Language teacher
On principle, teachers of languages are accepted on the basis of a selection procedure and after going through a starting period of sitting in on classes with experienced teachers. The length of the starting period is individual and depends on the level of expert knowledge and practical experience of the new teachers.
Faculty of Arts graduates are preferred for teaching adults and graduates from the Faculty of Education for teaching children. Students who are at a minimum in the 3rd year of their university studies or those with the state language exam, the FCE exam etc. and those who have undergone a study visit or a long-term stay in English-speaking countries and have experience of teaching adults or children can be employed.
Besides experience of teaching children (au pair, leader at a summer camp etc.) at least minimum practical skills in teaching music, physical education and art are required for teaching children. A positive approach to children, pleasant and helpful behaviour, and readiness and active interest in involving parents in the activities organized by our agency (trips, children’s public displays etc.) are prerequisites.
All our teachers are expected to be cooperative with colleagues, to be actively interested in further self-improvement and to take an active part in methodological workshops and other educational training events.
Translator – interpreter
Translators and interpreters are accepted on the basis of a selection procedure, experience and references. Adequate qualifications, time flexibility and full commitment to work are expected.
